The First Monday in May
Our Weekly recommendations are back...
The Pear tree in Battersea Park is finally back with its live music from Wednesdays to Saturday (weather dependent). This is the perfect spot for some Rosé with your friends after work in the summer sun! They even have sourdough pizzas and a BBQ – I would definitely recommend a trip here this summer! To make the evening even better, have your Loungers ready at home to slip on and relax in ultimate comfort!
We went to the infamous Straker’s last week. Golbourne Road in Nottinghill is lovely! The Vibes were great, brilliant music and cocktails! Annoyingly we had to wait almost an hour for our food but BOY OH BOY was it amazing! The iconic flatbreads did not disappoint! Just a public service announcement, it was very expensive… I would only go again for a special occasion.
Have you heard all the buzz and gone to see Challengers? Not going to lie, Luca Guadagnino’s film didn’t really live up to the hype in my opinion. The visuals are incredible, the actors look insane – can we take a moment for Josh O’Connor!! – but the actual film lacked oomph. Zendaya’s outfits during the promotion tour were such a serve! A few check patterns were popping up in her red carpet looks…. Very similar to some of our Loungers…. Make sure you are on trend & get yours now!
Every single brand it seems is collaborating with Pantone at the moment – that must mean one thing, bold and bright colours will be making their return to our homes this summer! Why not try our ‘SaveLives’ or Green Sea Turtle Loungers to be on trend, the blues, pinks and greens on these pieces are so vivid and striking!
Who is excited for the Met Gala this evening? The Met Gala is held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, on the first Monday of May each year. This year the co-chairs are Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, and Vogue’s Anna Wintour. The theme is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and the dress code is “The Garden of Time”. The dress code is inspired by J.G. Ballad’s short story of the same title published in 1962 and it can be interpreted in a myriad of differing ways – I cannot wait to see what everyone is wearing! I’m guessing a lot of floral and botanical looks, maybe we should bring out a floral inspired pair of Loungers?
That’s all for now. See you next week!
