Action Medical Research

The leading UK charity funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devistate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. They have helped to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy, helping to save thousands of children's lives and change many more. Today they continue to tackle the challenges disease and disability present by funding high quality research to save and change children's lives and are driving forward research to help protect children in the fight against COVID-19.

All the proceeds from the Rockbourne Fair benefit The Stars Appeal - Salisbury Hospital's Chairty, which raises money to create the best possible experience for the 350,000 people who rely on Salisbury District Hospital. It funds extra care and equipment over and above that provided by the NHS and benefits all wards and departments.

The Cranleigh Foundation (Registered Chairty No. 1122918) funds places for children who have suffered trauma, such as losing the support of one or both parents through exceptional or tragic circumstances. Foundationer places are for children who have a significant pastoral need and would benefit from our nurturing boarding environment. The Foundation is a fund which, over the coming decades, will build to a substantial endowment to support bursaries to provide a Cranleigh education for Foundationer pupils

Children's Hospice SW -Providing hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family.
The Guild of Friends of Bristol Royal Hospital for Children - Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is a centre of excellence recognized internationally for the ground breaking pediatric treatments that it provides. The Guild of Friends has been working to support the hospital since 1948.

A local charity providing support, friendship and practival help for young families with young children in the Cotswold District Council area to steer them through the stresses and strains of life. They visit families every week, working alongside parents, in their own homes, to help them through the problems they are facing. Each year Home-Start Cotswolds, aims to support at least 60 families in the area. And, while they are a locally-focussed and locally-run charity, we are part of a network of Home-Start schemes across the UK.

The Charterhouse

Their mission is to provide housing, care and support for older people in need, while sharing our heritage and preserving it for future generations. The Charterhouse is a former Carthusian monastery in London, located between Barbican and Smithfield Market, and to the north of what is now Charterhouse Square. Since the dissolution of the monasteries in the 16th century the site has served as a private mansion, a boys' school and an almshouse which it remains to this day.
