These Loungers are named in honour of the red panda. Red pandas are very solitary, and excellent climbers. Often considered to be nocturnal, they spend most of the day asleep on high branches or inside hollow trees. 

Red pandas are classified as an endangered species, with the most recent estimates suggesting that there are fewer than 10,000 in the wild.
